Optical eyeglasses are glasses that use optical components such as lenses, prisms, contact lenses, and artificial lenses to correct vision, relieve eye strain, and protect or treat the eyes. They include not only common nearsighted glasses but also farsighted glasses, reading glasses, astigmatism glasses, and all other glasses used to correct refractive errors, as well as some protective glasses.
