Rimless eyeglasses lenses typically have two mounting methods: one is the outer upper lens, characterized by the metal holes for the bridge and temples located on the front surface of the lens; the other is the inner upper lens, with the metal holes located on the back surface of the lens. When grinding and beveling the lenses, we need to focus on different aspects depending on the mounting method.

For outer and inner upper lenses, we first use a marker to mark the drilling positions. During the beveling process, ensure that more material is removed from the side of the lens that fully contacts the frame and temple bends, but the area removed should not exceed the metal-covered area. For other parts, we only need to lightly grind away a small amount to ensure a smooth lens edge, avoiding excessive sharpness, thus preventing interference with light reflection and ensuring aesthetics.

When grinding and beveling the lenses, appropriate strategies must be adopted according to the lens mounting method. For outer upper lenses, characterized by the metal holes for the bridge and temples being in the front, when beveling, we must ensure that more material is removed from the side of the lens that fully contacts the frame and temple bends, but the area removed should not exceed the metal-covered area. For internal lenses, where the metal aperture is located at the back, we need to be more careful in our operation. We only need to gently grind away a small amount of material from the edge of the lens to ensure that the edge is rounded and not too sharp, thereby preventing interference from reflected light and ensuring the overall aesthetics.
